Tryouts for 2012 teams took place July 6 and 13th - All teams have been formed for next season.

Barrington Travel Softball is an age based program for players 11 through 14 (5th - 8th grades). Instructors from other communities are hired as independent evaluators to ensure a fair tryout process.

BYB&S Travel is a developmental league for Barrington High School. BHS players and coaches have helped shape the program and contribute to a portion of the instructional component.

BYB&S is an open program and all CUSD 220 players are eligible to tryout - these teams are not recruited/closed teams. Our goal is to continue the development of all qualified players through extensive training with experienced coaches and outside resources. Travel teams work with the high school program and provide the most up to date training programs around. Players practice 1-2 times per week during the off season (January - March), and play 3-5 games per week with a practice during the regular season (April - July). Depending on the age group, teams can play between 40 to 55 games.
